To apply for a school place, please complete the application process online via Leeds City Council Admission –

You must also complete the school Supplementary Form (SIF) above and return this to school.


This year, we will be holding open afternoons on Wednesday 10th November at 1.30pm and Wednesday 8th December at 1.30pm. Please call the school office on 0113 2828182 or email to book onto one of the afternoons. We look forward to welcoming you for a tour of the school and an information session with Miss S. Leonard our Headteacher.

The open afternoon on 19th November is currently full.

Appeal Process

If Rothwell St Mary’s cannot offer you a school place either during an admission round or during the school year (via a CPD), you have the right to appeal. Please contact the school office for information regarding appeals for Rothwell St Mary’s: 0113 2828182 or  


When making your application for a school place, please remember to:  

  • use all 5 preferences, using only use 1 or 2 preferences decreases the chances of being offered a place at a preferred school;
  • 1st preference first isn’t allowed, –  schools don’t know the preference order families provide;
  • any supplementary information needs to be provided by the closing date  (this applies if a child is previously looked after, is seeking admission under exceptional needs or if a family wish to apply for their child to be admitted out of chronological age group)
  • use the child’s actual permanent address. Using that of a friend, relatives, childminder or renting a property to gain a school place are all considered fraud and places can be withdrawn.
